Mama likes her snacks. (Especially pregnant Mama.)
And when I was at my favorite place in the entire world (besides my bed), I couldn’t help myself. I bought a snack just for me. I never do this because I’m trying to keep my weight gain in check, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah.
They don’t always have these on the shelf at my local Trader Joe’s. I know I’ve hit the jackpot when there’s a few boxes left. (I’m guessing other people have discovered these, too.)
These aren’t your typical graham crackers. They are special. My favorite part is the cinnamon and sugar coating on top. They are crunchy and thick. And delightful in every other way. You won’t find HFCS in them either. Don’t share them with your kids. Just don’t. They will love them and you’ll be forced with to make the choice of surrendering them. Same goes for husbands, boyfriends, significant others, best friends, and squirrels.
I like to dunk them in milk or eat them plain or in other more sinful ways. (see below)
Other sinful ways to enjoy these grahams (beware of sugar high):
*dip them in dulce de leche or melted chocolate
*spread them with peanut butter or cream cheese (I know, I know)
*make lovely sandwiches with frosting (any kind)
*graham cracker crust (but, really why waste them on that?)
*And I’m really considering using them as a base for some gourmet s’mores like when I make Dorie’s recipe for Homemade Marshmallows again. (Have you joined TWD yet?)
Any other suggestions? I’m thinking they’d be good with anything and everything. (Except maybe veggies because that would be far too healthy.)

I like them with nutella, obviously, but they are also yummy spread with cream cheese and then the smuckers raspberry or strawberry fruit spread. MMMMM….
I LOVE cinnamon grahams. That’s one bummer about Utah- no trader joe’s
I love this recipe! I could make it if we only had a trader joes. :(
Dang. Why isn’t there a Trader Joe’s in Utah! Looks yummy!
Hmm… never seen those at TJ’s. I’ll have to scour the shelves next time I’m there! I love graham crackers slathered with soft butter! Mmmm… evil!
OH man! Now another pregnant mama is hungry too! I really wish TJs was in Utah. I’d empty their shelves single-handedly myself!
those are tasty! Have you tried their ABC Cookies? Delish. I buy them “for the kids” but in actuality I eat most of them. whoops.
I feel your pain Utah dwellers! When I move back (or before), we’ll have to start a campaign and get a TJ’s or two or three. I don’t know how I will ever survive…
Citymama–Um, yeah. We are almost to the bottom of our recently purchased tub of ABC cookies. They are delicious plain or dipped in frosting. (My preferred method, naturally.)
I love making graham cracker sandwiches by smearing butter, yes, just butter, between two graham crackers. So good!
I agree! Graham crackers are the best! Can’t wait for the summer camp fire and making smors!!!!
Similar to dunking in milk or eating with milk…when we were growing up sometimes we would take some graham crackers / graham wafers – crush them up a bit (like you would when adding crackers to soup) and pour on some milk. Eat with a spoon :)
I love the way you guys think! How could I forget smearing them with butter?! (I thought I invented that.)
Edi–brilliant! Graham cracker cereal. Even better than Golden Grahams I bet.
I just discovered your blog (via Design Mom & JustanOrange) & am loving it!
My family LOVES these graham crackers. They are absolutely, unbelievably good (and I love that they don’t have transfats). Although it seems a waste when pulverizing the crackers, they make the best graham cracker pie crusts in the world. . . Thanksgiving pie was just that extra little bit special with those! And Nutella sandwiches or chocolate fondue is killer.
All this graham crackers got me thinking. When I was younger we’d crush graham crackers in a bag until it was just crumbs and pour them over homemade canned peaches with a dollop of whipped cream. Yum!
I’m thinking of attempting to make my own graham crackers this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
Mmmm…I would give anything for a box of those. WE can’t get those over here. Homemade are good too, but those babies are calling to me . . . instant gratification. I didn’t know you were expecting! Congratulations!
