When I think of desserts for an occasion like Valentine’s Day, I think towards the rich, sinful side of things. I’m talking creamy, fattening, thigh-padding desserts.
There is none more rich or sinful than the marvelous Flourless Chocolate Cake.
(Note: I made the chocolate glaze as the recipe calls for and added my own white chocolate decoration in lieu of chocolate leaves.)

I don’t have a picture of this–we always eat it too quickly, but I would highly recommend Bittersweet Chocolate Ice Cream. (My husband won’t even eat Haagen Daz anymore.)

Or what about a Black Forest Torte?
Or Black Forest Cake?

Another favorite–Molten Chocolate Cakes
Not in the mood for chocolate? Maybe something fruity and light? Or cold? I am always making some kind of ice cream. Here are a few favorites that also happen to red and pink…
Strawberry Sorbet
Raspberry Buttermilk Ice Cream
Maybe something non-chocolate, non-fruit, but super rich and creamy?
Cran-Apple Cherry Crisp with Spice Ice Cream

Well….hopefully I can get them into bed early enough so we don’t end up eating at 10 PM! And actually, I realized he has to work late on V-Day, so I guess we will postpone it for a day or two.
