Here are some things I’ve been meaning to tell you this week:
Starting Monday, November 4th, another LIVE Fresh Start 21-Day Cleanse will commence. If you feel like joining in, it’s a great time to do it. There is special early bird pricing (20% off!) on the revamped cleanse – some new and updated recipes. I wrote all about the Fresh Start 21-Day Cleanse a few months ago. This is my favorite cleanse.
It is very gentle and a great way to jump start your body before the holidays and help curb sugar cravings. (I’m joining in too!) The Fresh Start Facebook community is really supportive and amazing, you get to join when you purchase the cleanse. Definitely worth checking out if it’s something you’ve been thinking of doing.
Also, to get you in the mood for the approaching holidays…
Have you downloaded the Foodie.com app yet?
It’s one of my very favorite food apps. The new Holiday Table edition is out today! I’m so happy that some of my recipes were included in the app. (Yep, I’m bragging because it’s so cool!)It’s a beautifully designed app and will totally give you your daily dose of pretty food. Plus it’s never to early to start planning those Thanksgiving menus! You can download it for FREE on iTunes.

Bakeaholic Mama has an astounding 100 of the Best Pumpkin Recipes on her blog today. She posted one pumpkin recipe a day during the month of October starting with Pumpkin Pie Macarons and ending with Dark Chocolate Pumpkin Cupcakes with Cranberry Curd and Molasses Buttercream, with a bunch of fabulous recipes in between. If you’re a pumpkin-lover, you’ll be all over this!
We love pumpkin a lot, but we really love nut butter!
Actually, we’re kind of obsessed with nut butters at our house. I’m currently eating and loving Nuttzo. We were sent some samples to try to see how they held up to our favorite peanut butter. I am so in love with the chocolate one especially! I don’t feel bad about my daily spoonful because it’s full of 7 kinds of healthy nuts and seeds. We’re excited to try the other kinds. Also, they have a peanut-free butter. Nuttzo is available nationwide. For you Utah locals, Harmon’s, Sprouts and Whole Foods carries it. The story of its inception is a great one.
Last, but not least, we’ve covered handmade gifts, cleanses, pumpkin recipes and nut butter. And we certainly cannot leave out the chocolate!
Mark your calendars for November 14, 2013 at 7:15 pm for the 2nd Annual Caputo’s Chocolate Festival held at the Downtown Caputo’s 300 South 300 West.
We attended last year and it was soooo much fun. This year’s festival will feature Ritual Chocolate, made in Colorado. It’s one of my favorite chocolate makers. Their Costa Rica bar is my very favorite. You can buy tickets here. Hurry because it will totally sell out! All proceeds will be donated to the Heirloom Cacao Preservation Program, promoting protection of threatened heirloom strains of cacao in their native growing regions.
That night, four chefs from Utah restaurants will share their chocolate creations using one of the four Ritual single origin bars.
- Costa Rica | Naked Fish Team, in collaboration with Viet Pham, Food Network Star, Iron Chef Slayer, and chef of Forage and Ember + Ash.
- Belize | Chef Ryan Lowder of Copper Onion.
- Balao | Chefs Carter Light and Serge Smith of Silver Restaurant.
- Madagascar | Leslie Seggar of Tulie Bakery.
Man, I’m already drooling!
Have a great weekend!
