Southern Living What’s For Supper: 30-Minute Meals Everyone Will Love Cookbook Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed.  Congratulations to ~mel, comment #29.

Friends, I’ve got a great giveaway for you today.  I received a review copy of Vanessa McNeil Rocchio’s Southern Living What’s For Supper:  30-Minute Meals Everyone Will Love cookbook a few weeks ago.  I am in love with it.  The recipes are fantastic, but that’s not my favorite part.  It is so gorgeous.  For those of you who love cookbooks with lots of pictures, this one’s for you.  Every recipe has a picture.  EVERY RECIPE.  And they are perfectly styled and photographed.  I was giddy when I was looking at it.

There’s something for everyone in the cookbook.  There are recipes that are easily adaptable to be meat and dairy-free.  There are loads of gluten-free recipes.  And tons of recipes for meat, chicken, and fish.  It’s just plain awesome.  There are old-school casseroles that have been revamped a bit.  There are quick and easy pasta dishes.  Some recipes rely on prepackaged ingredients (frozen tortellini or cream of mushroom soup, etc.), but for the most part, it’s all about using fresh ingredients.

This cookbook is geared towards families who are busy.  This is timely as school is going to start back up soon and we’ll be back to being even more busy than we’ve been this summer.  Hello, 30-minute meals.  You’re my best friend!

This book aims to keep you from the drive-thru on the way home from soccer practice and around the table as a family–even with all of the appointments and activities that keep us running.

So, I asked if I could give away a copy of the book to one of you because I know you (that’s right YOU) will love it.  And I know you’re busy so 30-minute meals will fit the bill.

To enter, simply leave a comment on this post.  That’s it.  No liking or tweeting required (unless you want to.)  Just a simple little comment.  You can tell me what you’re favorite 30-minute meal is if you want, or you can tell me how excited you are to win a copy of your own.

Anonymous comments will be ignored, so be sure to include your name and a way to contact you–either a blog address or e-mail if it’s not attached to your name in some way.  (That makes it soooo much easier for me to find you if you win.)

The giveaway will end next Thursday, August 9th at midnight EST.  The winner will be announced on this post and via e-mail.

Post edit:  This giveaway is open to US residents only.  Sorry International friends!

Good luck!

Disclosure:  I was provided with a review copy of this book from the publisher.  My opinions and gushing, as always, are my own.

  1. I need/want this so badly I would even tweet and like for it. There has been WAY too much fast food at my house with the long hours I’ve been putting in this summer. But Incould find 30 min. to make a good dinner.

  2. What a fun giveaway Lindsey! Thank you for hosting this. Although I don’t have kids, I am always busy with one thing or another and some nights, quick meals are the only things I want to prepare, but I don’t want to sacrifice quality or flavor. This seems like a great cookbook to add to my ever-growing collection.

  3. My life has only gotten more busy/crazy as the kids get older, and time commitments pour in. So yes, I am in desperate need of some 30-min ideas. The days of spending hours cooking on a day-to-day basis, have flown on by.

My favorite 30 minutes meal is Taco Salad in the summer and Taco Soup in the winter. What can I say? I get in ruts.

  7. Hmmm, favorite 30 minute meal – the day after Thanksgiving leftovers. During the rest of the year, Chef Salad. On another note, loved your watermelon Otai. Made it for my family, they loved it. Made it for a summer swim party – had to make 3 batches!!!! Yummy. Thanks for sharing this delicious recipe.

  8. How sweet of you doing this give away :) I love cooking and love cookbooks with pictures. Then I always know what it was “suppose” to look like. You know what got me on your description of the book? The old-school revamped casseroles! Who doesn’t love school casseroles ~ too bad most schools don’t serve up the good stuff anymore.

  9. I know I thanked you in the email ~ but also want to thank you here on your blog. Like I said, I’m tickled pink. The last thing I won was 30 years ago … a bag of dog food and I didn’t even own a dog!
