For weeks and weeks, my husband has been talking about Burgers, Shakes & Fries in the Byram section of Greenwich, CT. He and his cousins made a visit last Monday and came back raving about the burgers. I admit it, I was skeptical. Could it possibly be as good as my favorite burger places?
And I would have pictures of our delicious burgers if it hadn’t been for an unfortunate incident involving some crumbling concrete stairs, my 2-year-old son, and my husband. That incident ended in a trip to the ER to check out my husband’s bleeding and bruised elbow. Luckily everything and everyone is fine.
So, just picture this and when I go back (maybe this weekend?) I’ll be sure to take some tasty shots.
Two thick pieces of buttery toasted bread
One thick, juicy hamburger patty (1/3 of a pound for a single, 2/3 of a pound for a double)
And your choice of toppings
(Note: These burgers are served medium rare unless otherwise specified.)
I got my favorite burger–a single with cheese, mustard, ketchup and pickles.
What do I love about BSF? I love that it’s a simple menu done well. The shake was good–a double chocolate malt. The fries were amazing….SOOOO amazing.
Like I said, we’ll be back. Hopefully a few more times before I leave the East Coast.
Final word: BSF rivals the best burger joints out there. It was nice to find a place that could really satisfy this pregnant mama’s appetite for a hearty burger. They aren’t easy to find on this side of the country.
